Interfaces for importing data

Use the interfaces listed below to import data into MicroStrategy Web:

Select the data source to import from, using the Connect to Your Data page
When you import from a database, Hadoop, or Google BigQuery, use the Select Import Options dialog box to select whether to import your data by dragging and dropping relational tables, building a SQL query using an intuitive visual interface, or writing your own database queries.
View information about Intelligent Cubes using the Data Storage page. You can also publish, edit, schedule, share, and delete a specific Intelligent Cube.\
Preview and modify your data before it is imported using the Preview page. For example, MicroStrategy automatically designates data columns in your file as attributes or metrics, but you can change those designations before the data is published as an Intelligent Cube.
View, search, and define objects across all tables that are being imported using the All Objects View page. You can also divide very large datasets into multiple segments, called partitions.
Select whether the data is imported in a simple tabular layout, with each column in the table containing a separate attribute or metric, or in a cross-tabbed layout, with attributes and metrics stored in both table rows and columns, using the Parse Your Data page.
Explore your data to evaluate its quality and usability, and improve its quality before you import it into MicroStrategy Web, using the Wrangle Your Data page. For example, you can remove white space, filter your data, delete duplicate rows or cells, find and replace data, concatenate columns, and so on.
Create a dashboard, report, or document based on the imported data using the Data Imported page.
