Assigning a security role to a group

Security roles allow you to bundle privileges together to provide an easy way to grant multiple security privileges to large numbers of users. You can apply a security role to a group or to an individual user.

To assign a security role to a group

  1. Access the Intelligence Server Administrator page. ( How?)

  2. On the Intelligence Server Administrator page, select Security Role Manager. The Security Role Manager opens.

  3. In the Actions column, select the Edit icon for the security role to assign to a group. The Security Role Editor opens.

  4. On the Members tab, select the specific groups to assign the security role to. To do this, select the group and click > to add it to the Selected list. You can search for a group by typing the group's name in the Search field.

  5. Click OK to apply the changes.
